Golden Bee
Colorado Springs
800.634.7711
The Golden Bee is an authentic English pub within the extensive five-star Broadmoor Hotel complex. The bar "was brought over from Europe, so it has a lot of character." Get your steins filled with yards of ale, and dine on English specialties like cheddar cheese soup, steak and potato pie, or hearty sandwiches--then be entertained at the ragtime piano bar. Or, if you prefer to be the entertainment, they provide songbooks so you can be the star of the show. Read more.
The Million Dollar Highway
Ouray
The Million Dollar Highway is known for its stunning views and death-defying construction. Covering about 100 miles from Ouray to Silverton, it is "dotted with abandoned mines and expansive meadows." A road-trip along this highway is "one of the prettiest drives in the state. It's what people imagine when they think of Colorado." "On one side there are steep, craggy mountains; on the other, a deep canyon with the Animas River running through it." What once took days to cover now only takes a few hours.

Mountain Sun Brewery
Boulder
303.546.0886
Some of Boulder's best microbrews are at Mountain Sun Brewery. They make "amazing hand-crafted beers" like their Annapurna Amber, Java Porter, XXX Pale Ale, and the Raspberry Wheat. It has a hippie-feel to it, but appeals to all beer lovers. You can get anything from a salad or a burrito to a massive, meaty burger. There's the junk burger (with just about everything you can imagine) and the black and blue burger--blue cheese on a blackened burger. They serve lighter fare like hummus late into the night.
Tattered Cover Bookstore
Denver
303.322.7727
Antique, over-stuffed couches, knowledgeable personal service, and stacks of books create a "warm and inviting" atmosphere where book-lovers can "get lost in a book." Though well known among local bookworms--some claim it's "the best bookstore in the world--" this independently-owned shop is a real treasure if you?re traveling through Denver. You can even arrange for "all of your finds" to be shipped home for you. In addition to books, there is a "wonderful coffee shop" and the Fourth Story Restaurant, a "very fine restaurant with a view and a wide selection of wine and gourmet food." The entire experience leaves you "feeling as rested and rejuvenated as though you spent the day at a spa." Read more.
The Cruise Room
Denver
303.825.1107
For "a great night on the town" or an "excellent martini before a romantic dinner," the Cruise Room is "above and beyond what a hotel bar should be." Martinis are the drink of choice at this Art Deco style bar, designed to resemble the Queen Mary ocean liner. Although you "may expect to see James Bond sipping a shaken martini," Denver locals come here to "bond with their twenty-something friends" or to "impress a girl." Read more.

Best Western Movie Manor Motor Inn
Monte Vista
719.852.5921
What makes the Best Western Movie Manor stand out from other inns is that "this little motel offers drive-in movies from your room." You can see the latest flicks right from the comfort of your own room, as the rooms are equipped with a speaker and most have a clear view of the giant movie screen. There's a restaurant where the food is "several notches above the usual motel fare." The central location near the "alligator farm, UFO Watchtower, and several other interesting attractions" makes it super family friendly. Read more.
Casa Bonita
Lakewood
303.232.5115
While the food at Casa Bonita might not be "the greatest Mexican, the atmosphere is worth the trip." Flame jugglers, cliff divers, and even flame-juggling cliff divers ensure that you're bound to be entertained. There is a "30-foot waterfall in the middle of the restaurant," where the divers jump from. You can even eat in "hidden caves." It's a place like no other, and is "wonderful for adults and children." No words can really describe the Casa Bonita experience, but a visit speaks for itself! Read more.

Eldora Ski Resort
303.440.8700
Beginner and low-key downhill or cross-country skiers, snowboarders, and snow-shoers like Eldora Ski Resort because "it's a small ski area, without huge crowds and huge resort hotels." Eldora is a "prime place to learn to ski, and they have good instructors too." Located close to Boulder, there are "great restaurants, hotels, bookstores, and city attractions" just 30 minutes down the canyon. Come spring, "there is exhilarating rock climbing in nearby Boulder Canyon, Eldorado Canyon, and the Flatirons, too." Read more.
