The City of Coral Gables’ Venetian Pool
Coral Gables

305.460.5306
The Venetian Pool is "most likely the only swimming pool to be on the National Register of Historic Places." Formed from a coral rock quarry in 1923, it represents the history of Miami’s development. The pool is centrally located in the Coral Gables neighborhood, and as cliched as it may sound, it’s "fun for the whole family." The 820,000-gallon pool is fed with cool, fresh water daily and features two waterfalls, coral caves, and grottos. The surrounding buildings appropriately showcase Venetian-style architecture, designed by Denman Fink, the uncle of the founding father of Coral Gables, George Merrick. Note: guests must be three-years or older to enter. Read more.

Scotty’s Landing
Coconut Grove

If you find yourself "in the midst of several marinas" near Miami’s City Hall, chances are high that you’re at Scotty’s Landing. "The place is very chill, and the food is good." Ambience-wise, this is "always a nice place to relax with a bucket of beer and some wings or a no-frills fish plate to relish the sunset and live music." This is definitely a spot for "diners-in-the-know" because it’s tucked away into a corner, overlooking beautiful Biscayne Bay. You’ll find an "eclectic mix of everything from yuppies to politicos to regular Joes," all enjoying this happy hour spot for beer and wine (only).

Versailles
Miami

305.444.0240
For those who want to enjoy true Miami flavor, head over to "one of the most popular Cuban restaurants in the middle of Little Havana." This late-night hotspot is located right on famous Calle Ocho (8th Street) and "is adored by locals." Island favorites like cafe con leche and ropa vieja are "devoured here." The decor is "nothing fancy--" it’s just a "glorified diner," featuring "straightforward food from the home country." Tip: With its late hours, it’s the perfect place to indulge the munchies after dancing up a storm in Little Havana.
