Chief Marketing Officer

Victoria Treyger has a deal for you. As head of Travelocity's marketing team she leads Travelocity's overall marketing mix and our customer acquisition channels including offline advertising, direct marketing (search, online, email), the Travelocity brand (she is the official keeper of the Roaming Gnome), and customer loyalty. She is also responsible for merchandising and product marketing. During her time at Travelocity, Victoria launched Travelocity's co-branded rewards credit card program, developed seasonality and personalization driven merchandising strategies to bring the most relevant and compelling deals to customers across multiple channels, and led the efforts in smart retailing strategies throughout the site and all marketing channels.

Prior to Travelocity, Victoria was involved in driving marketing and new product development for leading consumer and Internet brands including American Express and Amazon.com. At Amazon.com, Victoria was responsible for developing, launching, and managing multiple new product categories including gifts, out of print books, and premium auctions as the company expanded from books into new segments. She also managed to sell an Austin Power's car for $54,000, one of the highest prices paid online in the early days of the Internet. At American Express, Victoria was responsible for managing channel strategy and marketing for the Fee Services division, and spent significant time developing new customer acquisition channels like call centers.

Victoria started her career as a consultant for Ernst and Young's Telecommunications practice where she focused on helping wireless carriers expand and consolidate their market reach.

Victoria serves on the Board of Jewish Vocational Services, an organization that is dedicated to helping individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds achieve self-sufficiency through training and job placement. Victoria received her MBA from the Harvard Business School, and a double undergraduate degree with distinction in Business and International Studies from the University of Washington.

Favorite travel moment:
"Through creative juggling and sheer willpower, I snagged a flight out of New York City during the blackout of August 2003 when no flights were taking off and made it to a summer ski trip in Portillo, Chille. Once we arrived, we shared the lifts with the U.S. Olympic Ski team!"
