Tran Taylor
Chief People Officer

Tran Taylor was named Travelocity's Chief People Officer (CPO) in June 2008. In this role, Taylor is responsible for attracting, developing, motivating and retaining Travelocity's most important asset - its people! Day to day, Taylor is accountable for the delivery and execution of performance management, compensation, employee relations, talent management and strategic people planning initiatives.

Over the course of his career, Taylor has a demonstrated track record of developing best-in-class people solutions and aligning HR initiatives to the needs of the business. His career experience spans from large corporate structures to leading within smaller start-up environments. Prior to his role at Travelocity, Taylor served as executive vice president of Human Resources at Alliance Data for three years. There he was responsible for all human capital strategic planning, and directing human resource initiatives for the enterprise which has more than 10,000 employees in more than 60 locations worldwide.

Before his work at Alliance Data, Taylor served as vice president of human resources for The Home Depot. Prior to that, he served as director of human resources for Raytheon Telecommunications, d/b/a Crosspan, leading a new commercial operating unit from start-up to launch from 1999 to 2001. Additionally, he has held senior human resources positions with Westinghouse and BellSouth Personal Communications.

Taylor is an active member of the Human Resources Policy Institute and the Corporate Leadership Council. He has also served as corporate executive advisor to multiple advisory committees including United Negro College Fund-Dallas, the Marriott Bridges Advisory Council-Dallas, and the C2C (College to Corporation) Council. He has served as a keynote and guest speaker at many events, and has consistently been active in community service.

Taylor received a bachelor's degree in international relations and a master's degree in public administration from West Virginia University. He has also completed various executive and accelerated leadership programs at Alliance Data, The Home Depot and Raytheon, and completed the Executive Strategic Human Resources Planning series at the University of Michigan Business School.

Favorite travel moment:
Spending time with my soul mate and wife-for-life shopping, dining/wine tasting and site seeing the many marvels that Italy, France and Spain have to offer in the beautiful cities of Rome, Florence, Capri, Cannes and Barcelona. Enjoying some of the finer places in life with the finest person I know...my wife!
